Serps Sidra

Cider

Serps is a living drink, crafted with a minimal-intervention approach: fermented with the fruit’s own yeasts and with no additives.

Based in Celrà, Marc began in 2020, inspired by his years in the United Kingdom, the leading country in cider production and consumption. He is now working to recover ancient Catalan varieties in the Vall d’en Bas. At the same time, he has used apples from growers across Catalonia to explore the character of each area: Gironès, Empordà, Vall del Lord, Ripollès, Garrotxa, the lands of Lleida… as well as harvesting wild apples from different forests.

With experimentation always at the heart of his project, he also explores co-fermentations with other fruits such as quince, pear, grape, persimmon and wild berries.

As a curiosity, the labels of each bottle together form a fanzine: each one has been created by an artist in their own style and technique.
