Museu de la Confitura

The jam museum

The jam museum was inaugurated on 24 July 2004 in Torrent.

Its founder, Georgina Regàs (1932–2022), a cook, writer, and key figure in the recovery and promotion of traditional Catalan cuisine, turned the museum into a benchmark in the world of jams, marmalades, and jellies.

In April 2017, Joan (1951–2023) and Maria Regàs, father and daughter, took over the business. Like Georgina, they delved into an unknown world that captivated them.

Today, Maria Regàs runs the museum. With Teresa Millàs at the head of production and the longstanding team, they continue the work of the Jam Museum, with the aim and determination of creating the most exquisite and surprising jams and marmalades that nourish not only the body, but also the soul.

Their values:

  • Extra quality commitment: They produce jams, marmalades, and jellies of the highest quality, without preservatives, colourings, or any other chemicals, choosing only natural, premium, locally sourced ingredients.
  • Craftsmanship in every step: They select and prepare the raw ingredients by hand. Cooking is done in small batches, respecting the time each jam requires.
  • Sustainability: They seek out old and lesser-known fruit and vegetable varieties, not only for their excellence, but also to preserve biodiversity and plant heritage.
  • Transparency: They share the secrets hidden in their jars through workshops and the publication of books.
